Why can't Pete hear me?
Here are a few things you can try:
- Ensure that your browser has enabled permission to your mic, then refresh the page.
- Use our tester to make sure your voice is being picked up. During a chat, click on the cog icon at the bottom to open up the settings menu. Try speaking and the orange bar should move. Also, make sure that the correct mic is chosen.
Why is Pete not responding?
There may be delays during high volume, but we're working hard to make Pete respond in real-time for everyone. Otherwise, here are a few things you can try:
- Reduce background noise. If your mic is picking up noise or other speech, Pete may think you are still trying to speak.
- Ensure that your browser has enabled permission to your mic, then refresh the page.
- Use our tester to make sure your voice is being picked up. During a chat, click on the cog icon at the bottom to open up the settings menu. Try speaking and the orange bar should move. Also, make sure that the correct mic is chosen.
- Close your browser tab and reopen it again.
- Try responding with a longer phrase or sentence. In a few cases, Pete may need more to go off of.
